Hello, I’m Andy Metcalf, the founder of Birchmere Builders. With over a decade of hands-on experience in construction, specializing in custom homes, fine woodworking, and renovations, I bring a wealth of expertise to our projects. Following an extended venture into the tech industry as a business consultant, I’ve returned to my passion for construction. Our experienced team is committed to open communication, honesty, quality construction, and enduring customer satisfaction. Join us in our journey as we continue to grow and expand Birchmere Builders.
I began my journey in construction with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. Along the way, I’ve gained valuable skills and knowledge from experienced foremen, general contractors, and superintendents. Most recently, I’ve been involved in constructing homes from frame to finish, embracing the challenges and fast pace of the work while bringing my personal touch to each project. I particularly enjoy tackling tough projects that push me to grow and deliver great results. Outside of work, I love disc golfing with my dog Otis, camping, and skiing with my partner.

Levi is a skilled carpenter with a focus on remodeling and finish work. He enjoys working with high-quality woods like oak, walnut, and cedar to create thoughtful, problem-solving designs that enhance his clients’ lives. One of his most meaningful projects was building a deck with a wheelchair ramp for his grandmother, giving her the freedom to enjoy the outdoors. In his free time, Levi loves exploring nature—whether rafting rivers, hiking mountains, or navigating canyons—and sharing these experiences with his two-year-old son. Fun fact: Levi was named after a character in a James Michener novel.

Kyle is a residential construction professional who has transitioned from a carpenter apprentice to a project manager. With a background in sales, real estate, and data analysis, he is driven by the opportunity to address Vermont’s housing shortage. Kyle enjoys the hands-on experience of building homes and now leverages his project management role to oversee and guide the entire construction process. He brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to learning and improving in every aspect of his work. Kyle is excited to contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact on his community.
