Positions Available:
Lead Carpenter
The Lead Carpenter role demands exceptional communication skills, enthusiasm, and strong organizational abilities. This position entails supervising laborers, carpenters, and subcontractors, as well as interfacing with customers throughout residential construction projects. A Lead Carpenter oversees all phases of construction, including framing, sheathing, wall, floor, and roof assemblies, demolition, drywall installation, and finished carpentry, requiring high levels of expertise in each area. Additionally, they must possess adept project management skills, managing daily jobsite operations, adhering to schedules, establishing safety protocols and workplace norms, and ensuring project quality. Managing client expectations is crucial in this role. Extensive knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, building codes, standards, regulations, and basic structural concepts is necessary. A strong desire to continuously learn and grow in the field of home building is expected. Qualifications typically include 10 or more years of carpentry experience.
Wages for this position will be commensurate with both experience and value to the Team. This position also offers a generous benefits package that will be negotiated at hiring.
Carpenter
The ideal candidate for a carpenter position should possess enthusiasm, a drive for perfection, and motivation to continuously learn and improve. They must demonstrate respect for their work and others. Additionally, they should be skilled in all aspects of residential construction, including framing, sheathing, wall, floor, and roof assemblies, demolition, drywall installation, and finished carpentry. A strong knowledge of various tools, equipment, materials, building codes, standards, regulations, and basic structural understanding is essential. The candidate should have a desire to expand their knowledge related to home building and be willing to learn and grow in the field. Qualifications for the role typically include 3 or more years of carpentry experience.

Laborer
The Laborer position at Birchmere Builders requires individuals with enthusiasm, a drive for perfection, motivation to learn, and a strong sense of respect for their work and colleagues. Candidates must demonstrate a robust willingness to acquire knowledge in all facets of residential construction, encompassing framing, sheathing, wall, floor, and roof assemblies, demolition, drywall installation, and finished carpentry. Additionally, they should be open to learning about various tools, equipment, materials, building codes, standards, regulations, and basic structural concepts. A desire to continuously expand their understanding of home building is essential. No prior experience is necessary for this role; instead, a strong motivation to learn the in-demand trade of carpentry is emphasized.
